Eid Prayer & Sunan of Eid
Performing Eid Prayer
- Men and women pray Eid prayer in the musalla (praying place - if possible)
- Eid Prayer is two Rikaa with intention of "Eid Prayer".
- Takbeer for starting of prayer. (Takbeerat Al Ehram)
- Then six takbeers (Allahu Akbar, 6 times)
- Read Surah Al Fatiha and it's sunnah to read surah Al Alaa.
- In second rikaa, 5 takbeerat, after takbeer of standing.
- Then read surah AlFatiha, and its sunnah to read surah Al Ghashiya.
Sunan of Eid
- Wearing perfume (for men)
- Taking bath
- Saying the Takbeers
- Offering Eid prayer
- Eat before the Eid prayer
- Wear the best clothes
