Encountering an enemy or fearing someone in authority

Supplication when fearing a people

O Allah, we place You before them and we seek refuge with You from their evil

(Sunan Abi Dawud 1537, Authenticated by Al Albani as Sahih)

Supplication when encountering an enemy #1

Allaahumma anta ‛aḍudee, wa anta naṣeeree, bika ahoolu wa bika aṣoolu wa bika uqaatil

O Allah, You are my supporter and You are my helper, by You I move and by You I attack and by You I battle

(Sunan Abi Dawud 2632, Authenticated by Al Albani as Sahih)

Supplication when encountering an enemy #2

Hasbun-allaahu wa ni‛mal-wakeel

Allah is sufficient for us, and how fine a trustee (He is)

It was said by Ibrahim (as) when he was thrown into the fire; and it was said by Muhammad (ﷺ) when they (i.e. hypocrites) said, "A great army is gathering against you, therefore, fear them," but it only increased their faith and they said: "Allah is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer (of affairs, for us)." (3.173)

(Al Bukhari, Book 65, Hadith 4563)
